Bayram Vickery Meech was formed in 2003 by the de-merger of the Business Rates Consultancy business from Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world’s top real estate consultancies.
As Business Rates specialists we deliver the best professional advice from a team of highly experienced Chartered Surveyors. Our partners each have more than 20 years business rates experience.

Alan Vickery
Alan is an expert in business rates consultancy. He has specialised in professional valuation work for over 20 years. As an expert in Business Rates, he specialises in advising on technical and legal issues, with extensive experience of negotiating appeal settlements and taking cases to tribunal. In addition to traditional case work, Alan takes personal ownership for the management of the Business Rates affairs for a number of significant clients.
Alan joined the Valuation Office of the Inland Revenue in 1990 as a graduate surveyor. He focused on tax valuations, compulsory purchase and rating work in the City of London and surrounding boroughs before joining the Business Rates Department at Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Healey & Baker) in 1999. In 2003 he was part of the team that delivered the MBO of the rating function of Cushman & Wakefield and became a founding partner of Bayram Vickery Meech. Alan is a member of the Rating Surveyor's Association.

Andrew Meech
Andrew has specialised in professional valuation work for over 25 years. He advises both occupiers and landlords on business rates, rent reviews and lease structures. He takes the lead on properties in the City of London, City fringe and Southern regions of England. Andrew has extensive experience in Valuation Tribunal, an arena in which he has been consistently successful.
Andrew joined Allsop & Co as a graduate surveyor in 1985, delivering taxation, valuation and rating advice for businesses across the country. After a period undertaking similar work with chartered surveyors Donaldson's (now part of DTZ) Andrew joined the Valuation Office first in Guildford and then in Islington and Hackney, becoming responsible for undertaking valuations and resolving business rates appeals for offices across the area. From 1997 Andrew became responsible for similar casework across the City of London.
Andrew joined Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Healey & Baker) in 1999 and is a founding partner of Bayram Vickery Meech.

Paul Bayram
Paul has focused on professional valuation work for over 35 years. Paul started his career as a graduate surveyor with JR Eve (now known as GVA) in 1973, undertaking a wide range of professional work. He progressed to become managing director of The American Appraisal Company in Northern Europe, a specialist practice delivering valuation advice to global corporate clients undertaking mergers and acquisitions.
In 1998 Paul set up the Business Rates Department at Healey & Baker (now Cushman & Wakefield), developing its team of specialists and becoming Partner and Head of Rating. He became a founding partner of Bayram Vickery Meech in 2003.
